I had this lovely convo with my favorite mom group. We spend so much time in the kitchen only for our kids to look at their plates like they’re filled with poison. It’s quite depressing. The tips we receive are even more depressing!
1. Let them help you cook. ( not in this universe)
2. Stop buying the few things they do eat ( my youngest would starve if I didn’t keep a bag of pizza rolls in the house)
I have three little ones (3,4,5). My 3 year old will eat spaghetti, pizza rolls and crackers. My 4 yr old will eat literally ANYTHING as long as it’s not crunchy. My 5 year old eats grilled cheese, spaghetti and PB& J. Reluctantly she will eat a garden salad.
I’ve had some luck with these types of plates and they have become a Must Have in my household. They promote variety & portion control. Getting my kids to eat more is finally getting easier. They come in a lot of fun, vibrant colors and graphics.
Although they don’t eat what I cook….I still enjoy cooking!
I made this Stuffed Sundried Tomato Chicken last weekend, it was amazing.
